The Empowered Spirit Show

Feb 9, 2019

We are moving through the new moon energy of February which brings in lots of opportunities to go deeper within to hear the message of our Spirit.

The energy of Aquarius is innovative, creative and loves experiences and freedom.  It’s a time to be progressive and exciting in thinking and bringing in new ideas to work on.

Knowing who you are and how to express it is a big emphasis this month. Can you show up for this right now? Can you open up to new experience for your soul’s work?

Are you moving out of your comfort zones? …Maybe even standing on the edge a little?

I know it can be hard, especially if you are moving through some challenges right now. It always seems so much easier to stay in the old grooves, but really, as I am learning, you can only stay there for so long before the body, mind and spirit start to make that the habit. Clearing your energy and letting go of old energy is so helpful.

It does take getting quiet to hear and see and feel and know the new messages that come in.

In today’s episode I will be talking to Annie Damsky and Emilie Maynor about their upcoming Fearless Festival, which is a great opportunity for you to apply this energy I am talking about and try something new, to expand and find a new compassion for yourself.

Through the work of Annie Damsky and Emilie Maynor, The Fearless Om Festival builds a community with compassion.

The Fearless Om is a collaboration between Emilie Maynor and Annie Damsky rooted in mutual compassion and respect for one another and shared values of how to live this practice called yoga. Their desire is to offer authentic and approachable teachings that inspire self-study, acceptance, and community. They strive to provide ongoing experiences that will enable others to be centered and live fearlessly.

Annie Damsky became a committed yoga practitioner in 2004. Yoga was the only cure to her case of the Sundays and the only physical exercise that felt worth sticking with on a regular basis.

In 2009, she achieved her 200 Hour certification through Birmingham Yoga. What resonated the most with Annie was the power of yoga to lay a foundation of steadiness and ease for individuals of all ages. Annie believes that through these individual foundations, our communities will grow stronger and more peaceful as we bring mindfulness and acceptance into our everyday lives.

In 2012 Annie opened Villager Yoga as a studio for the whole family, teaching classes for kids, families, expecting moms, and student of all abilities. She approaches each class she teaches like a short workshop, especially with the perspective she gains from her gurus of all ages. Annie relishes any opportunity to come together and share yoga as a community.

Emilie Maynor is a Wellness Coach and Yoga Instructor working with individual clients and corporations to live healthy, mindful lives with ease.

Emilie's yoga journey began nearly 10 years ago when she discovered the powerful impact of self-study and awareness. In 2009, she completed her 200 Hour certification through Birmingham Yoga. Emilie's education continued as yoga concepts overflowed into her time in the kitchen; she realized that yoga is a practice both on and off the mat, which inspired her to complete a Holistic Health Coaching certification through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and launch her business, Emilie Maynor Living.

Most recently, Emilie completed a 300 Hour Elemental Yoga Therapy certification. This training is the last piece of the puzzle to help Emilie connect the dots between food, breath, and movement and inspire her clients to claim the grounded, rich lives we all truly crave.

In this episode we talk about fearlessness, compassion, self care and building a community vibration.

With choices such as meditation, yoga, journaling, dancing and crafting, you feel happier and more positive which leads to making better decisions, eating better, sleeping better and saying no to things you really don’t want to do and yes to people you want to surround yourself with.

This is what builds lasting friendships and a vibrant, fearless community.

It is important to step out of the stresses of everyday life so that you can allow yourself the opportunity to connect with your spirit, the essence of your being. This is a surefire way to cultivate a loving experience of life.

And above all, know that being fearless and knowing yourself is a journey and that it often will not be easy but will be well worth the time you take for all those around you.

If you need help in finding that fearless energy within you to make changes, join us at the Fearless Festival.

You don’t have to do this alone.

To your Spirit!
